Gregory Lyndon Harris joined our family on October 19th. He was 8 pounds, 12 ounces and 19.5 inches long.
Kent couldn’t be more excited about his little brother and Adam and I are madly in love with him.

…Ok…now that the store has been sold I have no excuses for not keeping up my personal blog…
Here’s a quick update.
Kent is the most wonderful little boy ever- being his mom is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
Kent is walking, running and talking- he is truly amazing!
Adam is my best friend in the whole world and I love him madly. He got a new job with Wachovia/Wells Fargo based out of Washington, D.C.
Because of Adam’s new job I could not renew the lease with my store, Southern Scrapbooks, so I had to sell it.
We are expecting another little boy this Halloween, we cannot wait to welcome little Gregory Lyndon Harris into our family!
I am vowing to be a better blog keeper from here on out.

My poor personal blog- the store is taking up all of my time (and my crazy 11 month old). But, it’s a new year and I resolve to keep this one updated.
Christmas was wonderful! Kent was a wonderful age for his first Christmas- but his Grandmas spoiled him rotten! He is growning so fast and amazes me every day with the new things he learns and does. It’s amazing how much we love him.
I had sinus surgery a couple of weeks ago- yuck! I’m waiting for the part where I feel better but I know it won’t be long now. Adam and I had over two straight weeks together for Christmas and my surgery- it was so hard for him to go back to work! We miss each other so much during the day. Why can’t we just win the lottery so we can be together all of the time?

I’ve been so busy with the store that my poor personal blog has fallen by the wayside.
Kent’s first Halloween was a great success! We enjoyed the evening at Grandmommy’s house- he even got his first taste of candy- a sucker! He was a Pumpkin for the day and Dumbo at night. He is so stinkin’ cute! He’s got so much personality and is lightning fast, we can’t keep up with him.

When Adam left for work this morning I was so sad. Our vacation is officially over. It doesn’t matter where we go, we just love to be together. Kent has gotten so spoiled having both of his parents with him 24/7.
My ‘to do’ list for the store is so long. Time is just ticking away…

I am swimming in details for the new store, but I did have a chance to break away and run to CKC Charlotte for an afternoon to see some of my wonderful friends from Greenville…
Kent was tuckered out from all of the excitement.
Tomorrow we are heading out for our Disney cruise- Yay, it’s finally here! I can’t wait to post the pictures when we get back.

…We took a little break from working on the store and went to Greenville to visit with my family. I had a wonderful surprise lunch with Terri and Kim and an overall great time being with my mom and sister. On Sunday we had all of the grandchildren together and tried to take a picture of them all together- it was like trying to wrangle a litter of energetic puppies…
Ah, today is Monday and my to-do list is full, off to work.

Yep, everything is crazy around here- even more than the normal craziness that I experience on a regular basis…
I’m opening a store! Yay! Adam has been so incredibly supportive and I couldn’t be more excited to return to my one true love. The store is going to be here in Baxter Village (www.villageofbaxter.com)- only five blocks from our house. I am so excited and plowing though all of the necessary yucky stuff like writing a business plan and getting a tax ID so I can get to the stuff I love like ordering inventory and planning the layout of the store. Not to mention getting classes and displays together. I’m almost done with the yucky stuff.
Oh yeah- I need a design team- any takers?
So I went to CHA to stock my store last Friday. The only glitch- I was only there for five hours! That’s right, I ordered half of my inventory in less than five hours- have I mentioned that I’ve done this before? My first stop was the Fiskars booth and straight to Heidi Grace- I was so happy to see her and Terri- I just love them! I wished that I’d had more time to stop and socialize, but I had a lot to do in a very little amount of time. I sill saw a lot of Fiskateers and even had a chance to stop and talk for a few moments. I ordered a ton of QuicKuts and all of the new lines from My Minds Eye and way more.
The opening for Southern Scrapbooks is October first- I only have about two months to get this all going- wish me luck!
